Perverts, paedos, peeping tom cases heard in southeast courts
A pervert who phoned dance studios and costume shops to ask mums for sex with their kids was found to also hoard child porn videos after one mistake brought him down. And he’s not the only creep in Melbourne’s southeast you need to know about.
South East

There are plenty of creeps around Melbourne’s southeast. They range from the phone perv who rang mums, the paedo who raped his partner’s son and a sneak who spied on his housemate when she took a shower.
PHONE PREDATOR
A creepy caller who rang mothers asking for sex with their children also hoarded videos of adults having intercourse with children.
But on one occasion he stupidly used his own mobile, and was tracked down by police.
When cops searched his Narre Warren South home they uncovered “vile and despicable” DVDs and digital files of adults having sex with children aged under 10.
The magistrate said he couldn’t view the videos as the descriptions alone were enough to repulse him.
Meyer was jailed for four months and given a 12-month community corrections order.
He was also put on the sex offender’s register for eight years.
SURVEILLANCE SICKO
A sneaky pervert who used a video camera to spy on his housemate as she took a shower walked free from court with a good behaviour bond.
But the horrified woman saw the camera and was “frozen with fear” before reporting it to police and leaving the property.
His defence lawyer said the highly regarded CSIRO researcher had excellent career prospects and “his guilt was so bad he never even looked at the video.”
He was placed on a good behaviour bond for 12 months, ordered to pay $600 to the court fund as well as pay $200 restitution to the victim for her lost rent.
MORNINGTON MONSTER
A twisted child rapist was supposed to be a ‘new daddy’ but instead the “repugnant” Mornington Peninsula paedophile repeatedly raped his girlfriend’s young boy.
The predator, who can’t be named, raped him in their home and on bike rides around the Mornington Peninsula in 2013 and 2014 when the boy was just six and seven.
In victim statements the boy said he “had bad dreams and woke up crying” and the man he called his father had “ruined his life”.
The sickening sexual abuse also destroyed the lives of his mother and grandmother, who felt betrayed and guilty that they didn’t know their boy was being attacked.
The man was jailed for eight years and will be on the sex offender register for life.
CHILD PORN CREEP
A man who had been convicted for downloading a video of a young girl being abused was found living with a woman and her eight-year-old son.
Kris Allan Drummond had been placed on the sex offender’s register with conditions he notify police of where he is living and with who.
But the Rosebud man didn’t, and officers uncovered him staying with the mother and her child.
He had been given a corrections order and put on the sex offender’s register after a “depraved and shocking” 49-minute film of a young girl being violated was found on his computer.
His defence lawyer said the relevant government departments were now aware of his living arrangements and a psychologist’s report stated he didn’t pose a risk to the community.
He was placed on a 12-month corrections order involving 150 hours of unpaid work.
TINDER TERROR
A sordid sex scammer jailed for duping young women was imprisoned again after he was caught with a Tinder profile.
One of his victims was aged 16, three were aged 19 and two were 20.
After he had been released police raided his home and found he had set up an online dating profile, violating parole conditions.
They uncovered thousands of email, internet and Tinder accesses.
In court his defence lawyer said when he reactivated a former email account on an old phone it had inadvertently revived previous apps, including an old Tinder profile.
She said there were no searches connected to his previous victims.
The magistrate jailed him for four months.
SADISTIC STALKER
A St Kilda barman bombarded a woman with sadistic messages from fake Instagram accounts, including threatening to send her mum a video of her using a sex toy.
Mark Riley set up fake profiles and sent the social media influencer and dancer dozens of messages containing her personal details.
He also suggested he had compromising videos of her that he was going to send to police and her family.
The woman felt unsafe in her own home and was “so traumatised, fearful and anxious” because of his “sadistic” behaviour that she had to move house and stop working.
His fake profiles were tracked to an apartment where he was staying, and he was arrested.
He has a long rap sheet in both Queensland and Victoria and was on bail for theft and deception crimes at the time.
He was sentenced to 10 months’ jail.
