FOR people with gluten intolerance, eating out can be quite a challenge.

But one Narre Warren restaurant is taking the headache out of dining out.

In a Victorian first, Indian restaurant Arya has added gluten-free naan bread to its menu, ensuring diners can enjoy a totally gluten-free experience at the Seebec Drive venue.

Owners Mana and Bhupinder Singh said the recipe took six months’ work.

“We are a local business and there are a lot of young families who have children or relatives intolerant to gluten,” Mr Singh said.

“We wanted a place everyone could come in and have a complete meal.”
