An ice-addicted thug who bashed, imprisoned and stalked his terrified ex-girlfriend has been jailed.
Daniel Fallon pleaded guilty in the County Court to three charges of intentionally causing injury, one charge of false imprisonment and a charge of stalking.
Fallon was using meth with his ex-girlfriend in Narre Warren on Christmas Eve 2016 when he became agitated and verbally abused her calling her a “junky whore” and “oxygen thief”.
He punched the woman in the head about 20 or 30 times.
In May 2017 Fallon again assaulted her, hitting her in the face while she was driving along the Princes Highway.
He attacked her again in August 2017 after they had broken up.
When she arrived at his house to pick up some belongings, Fallon quizzed her on whether or not she had been seeing anyone and accused her of lying, punching her in head with closed fists several times.
He knocked her to the floor, pinned her down with his knee and continued to hit her.
He then placed his hands around her throat.
The court heard Fallon’s former partner’s terrifying ordeal was not over as she was held captive in the house for another six hours.
The meth junkie followed her everywhere and blocked any attempts she made to escape the house.
He also took her phone and threw it down the hallway to prevent her from calling the police.
Fallon eventually let his petrified ex go but in the week following the ordeal he contacted her hundreds of times threatening to release revealing photos of her.
Fallon was arrested not long after.
He initially denied the attack calling his ex a “liar” and also tried to explain her throat injuries as sexual in nature saying “she likes getting choked a little bit”.
In July 2015 Fallon was jailed for nine months for intentionally causing injury to the mother of his only child.
Judge Julie Condon said his offences had an “extreme impact upon the victim”.
“Domestic violence is a scourge in our community,” she said.
“This offending relates to more than one incident. The culmination of your behaviour … involves consistent and sustained offending against her in circumstances where she was clearly petrified and fearful for her safety.”
Fallon was sentenced last November to four years and six months but will be eligible for parole after two years and 10 months.
He had spent 457 days in custody at the time of sentencing.
