A Clayton North family has been left heartbroken after their beloved son David Lomoro was killed in a car crash in Tooradin.

Daniel Ben Sadala, 32, was a passenger in a silver Jeep Wrangler being driven along the Baxter Tooradin Rd late on Saturday July 6 before the driver allegedly lost control of the car causing it to flip several times, killing Mr Sadala.

The Clayton North man was a Pojulu man from South Sudan.

Family friend David Lomoro described Mr Sadala as a hard working man who always tried his best to provide for his family.

“He worked so hard, and just bought his family a home a few months ago,” Mr Lomoro said.

“His family are so heartbroken, but have also been left financially stranded without Daniel.

“They are not only dealing with grief but have no idea how they will be able to pay the mortgage or even for his funeral.”

Mr Lomoro said the unexpected passing was not something anyone could prepare for.

To help the family, Mr Lomoro has set up a GoFundMe.

“His loved ones just want to be able to pay for a plot and be able to bury him so he may rest in peace,” he said.

“Nothing ever prepares you for the death of a loved one.”

More than $6000 has been raised for his family.

After the crash Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives charged the driver, a 38-year-old Clyde North man, with dangerous driving causing death.

He faced the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on July 9.

He was bailed and will appear again in court on December 9.
