Man charged after Baxter shooting
A man has been charged after a shooting in the Mornington Peninsula suburb of Baxter.

Police have charged a man with firearms offences after a shooting in Baxter last Thursday afternoon.
A 30-year-old man was arrested by police at the scene and later charged.
He has been bailed to appear in Frankston Magistrates’ Court on February 21.
It comes after an incident where a man was taken to hospital after allegedly being shot at a property in Baxter.
A crime scene was set up in Grant Rd, 48km southeast of Melbourne, by police.
Paramedics arrived about 3.50pm Thursday afternoon to find a man in his 30s suffering a gunshot wound.

He was transported to The Alfred hospital in a serious condition.
The alleged shooter was arrested and assisted police with their investigation into the incident.
Police believe the two men involved in the shooting are known to each other and there is no threat to the general public.
