A pedestrian has been hit and killed on Dandenong Rd after being struck by a car in Oakleigh.

A 62-year-old pedestrian was hit and killed by a car in Oakleigh on Thursday morning.
Emergency services were called to Dandenong Rd about 4.15am on July 14.
The woman sadly died on the scene.
The driver of the car, a 49-year-old Huntingdale man, was uninjured and stopped after the collision.
Dandenong Rd lanes are closed westbound and the Princes Highway inbound is closed near Drummond St.

Investigations are ongoing into how the crash occurred and the driver is assisting police with their inquiries.
