An iconic country pub — the only one in its region — is up for sale.
The Victoria Hotel on Rowe St in Ouyen was built in 1919 but has now been listed on realcommercial.com.au for $70,000 (for a nine-year lease).
It is the only hotel in the region and although the town only has a population of 1000, the pub draws in locals from a 60km radius.
The hotel is respected by many locals, workers, sporting teams and tourists who visit Ouyen.
The Victoria Hotel provides multi-purpose assets — including a pool table, a spacious public bar, walk-in bottle shop, TAB function room, 120 seat bistro, commercial kitchen, upstairs balcony, outdoor seating and beer garden, ample parking and includes $60,000 unencumbered solar panel asset.
To add to the incentives of the venue, there are 32 hotel style rooms that are currently in progress of renovations, enhancing the experience for guests.
The hotel also has a large separate and renovated four bedroom family accomodation to suit the needs of a family business or a chef.
Ouyen is on the corner of two main highways — the Calder and the Mallee — making the Victoria Hotel a key area for citizens to visit during the South Australian holidays as visitors often travel through the town on their time off.
Potential buyers are encouraged to make an offer today as the owner is wanting to sell up.
