First a popular Italian restaurant shut up shop, then the Irish pub gave punters a scare with news it was closing. Now another longstanding business is preparing to farewell Knox Ozone, and it’s going out in style.

Another popular business at Knox Ozone is closing, with a bowling alley preparing for its final strike.
In a post on its website, Zone Bowling Knox said: “We’ve loved rolling with you over the years … Zone Bowling Knox is closing the doors on Monday 10 June.”
“Help us go out in style with $6 bowling across the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend. Come in for one last hurrah at Knox!”
On the Zone Bowling Facebook page, Jenni Tracey Moran said: “I’m going to miss the centre. Been a part of my family for over 20 years.”
The news follows the closure of Paesano Italian restaurant and the highly publicised departure of The Irish pub from Ozone.
Westfield Knox centre manager Kristian Nicholls said Zone Bowling had chosen not to renew its lease at the entertainment precinct.

When asked the reason the business was leaving, or if Westfield Knox was disappointed about another retailer closing its doors at Ozone, the centre said commercial arrangements with its retail partners was confidential.
