Million-dollar penthouses spanning an entire floor at the top of Maroondah’s tallest building will be part of Ringwood’s landmark East End precinct.

Residential sales have begun for what will be Maroondah’s biggest mixed-use development at 28-30 Maroondah Highway, opposite The Coach and EastLink.

Real Estate agent Marshall White and developer Sunstone Projects recently opened a display and sales office at Eastland revealing more details about the project.

More than 300 apartments and penthouses will be spread across two of three towers in the precinct, one of which will reach 19-storeys.

The apartments start at $388,000, while half and whole-floor penthouses will go on sale later this year and cost up to $3.95 million on the top levels.

Hotel chain Marriott announced in October it would build its premium AC Hotel in the first of the three towers, which will include 200 rooms over eight-storeys.

East End will also boast a community plaza filled with co-working and green spaces, a gym, restaurants, cafes and retail stores.

Marshall White director Leonard Teplin said East End was modelled to be an “ecosystem” which allowed residents to “live, work and play” in the one location.

He said developers had drawn inspiration from “premier towers and premium hotels” around the world.

“We look at that as a stencil on how we approached this precinct,” Mr Teplin said.

“We wanted to make sure their residents get the best of apartment living and part of it is to have the best services on show.”

Mr Teplin said East End would have Ringwood’s best views and be one of the few mixed-use developments outside of the CBD with a hotel, retail and private residences.

He said 17 apartments had already been sold and construction of East End, including the AC Hotel, would begin in September and be finished by late 2022.
