What happens after a sexual assault?

A serial pervert was caught by police with his pants down in a Woolworths car park in Melbourne’s east after a string of grubby offences he blamed on drinking too much to cope with fatherhood.

Peter Toth, 47, pleaded guilty to directing sexual activity towards a person in the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

On April 5, 2023, Toth, who works as a software engineer, drove up to a woman riding her bike along the Jells Rd and asked her for directions to a train station.

After the woman began to give him directions, Toth flashed the woman his genitalia and began masturbating.

The 39-year-old woman ran away and reported the incident to police.

On April 16, 2023, Toth approached a 20-year-old woman sitting in her car in the Benedict Reserve carpark.

Toth parked his car next to the woman and opened the driver’s side door to his car.

He had no pants and no underwear on and began masturbating.

The woman described Toth as “creepy” and said he had his mouth open and was moving his tongue.

She drove away and reported the incident to police.

Later that day, a 22-year-old woman went to the Scoresby Woolworths with her boyfriend.

The man was taking clothes donations to the charity bins whist his girlfriend was sitting in the car.

The court heard Toth parked next to the woman, and started masturbating next to her.

She drove away to meet her boyfriend to report the man to police.

Police later found Toth in the same Woolworths car park with his pants down and genitalia exposed.

He was arrested but was not interviewed after he recorded a 0.149 BAC.

Toth, who has two young children, claimed in court the offending was driven by his drinking.

He also said he started drinking after he became stressed from becoming a father.

Toth was ordered to undergo an assessment for a community corrections order and he will return to court for sentencing on August 1.
