Noble Park man, 41, killed after his car hit a tree on Monbulk Road Monbulk

A man in his 40s from Melbourne’s southeast was killed when his car crashed down an embankment in Monbulk on the weekend.

A Noble Park man has died after his car crashed down an embankment and hit a tree in Monbulk.

Police believe the man was driving along Monbulk Rd on Saturday, December 2, when he veered from the road about 6.30pm.

The car went down an embankment and crashed into a tree.

The 41-year-old Noble Park man died at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and police will prepare a report for the Coroner.

There have now been 272 lives lost on Victorian roads this year, up from 226 at this time last year.
