Haigh’s Chocolates, Best and Less and Goodlife Gym coming to Ringwood’s Eastland
Fans of Speckles and chocolate frogs won’t have to travel as far to get their fix, with Haigh’s opening its first store outside the inner city. It’s one of three new additions to the Ringwood shopping centre.

Brace yourself chocolate lovers — one of Australia’s most popular chains is bringing its sweet treats to Ringwood.
Haigh's Chocolates is one of two huge retailers set to open at Eastland this month.
It is Australia’s oldest family-owned chocolate maker, and its most popular products include speckles, chocolate-coated scorched almonds and its wide range of truffles.
Chief executive Alister Haigh said he was excited to be opening the chocolate maker’s eighth Melbourne store at the shopping centre.
“Our Eastland store will provide a great new convenient location for Haigh’s customers living in the eastern suburbs,” he said.
“Demand for Haigh’s Chocolates in Melbourne continues to rise, and this new store will allow us to reach more customers and achieve continued and sustained growth in the eastern states of Australia.”
The store will open on level two in Eastland’s centre corridor between Eastland’s two major department stores — Myer and David Jones.
Eastland general manager Greg Balmforth said Haigh’s had been at the top of shoppers wishlists for new stores at the centre.
“Haigh’s is something our Eastland community has been demanding for some time, and we are excited to be able to satisfy their chocolate-craving needs when Haigh’s Chocolates opens this September,” he said.

Meanwhile, budget clothing retailer Best and Less is also opening at Eastland this month and will be located next to JB Hi-Fi on the centre’s ground floor.
Best and Less chief executive Rodney Orrock said its loyal customers had “wanted us in this centre for a long time”.
“We will be bringing to Eastland everything our customers expect from us, great service, great products, great prices and the only retailer in Australia that stands behind the product it sells with our 100 day, no argument quality guarantee,” Mr Orrock said.
In another addition, a Goodlife gym is opening in Town Square later this year.
Goodlife will be located next to Strike Bowling and Holey Moley mini golf, in space which used to be occupied by David Jones.
It will be only a short walk from Eastland’s other gym, Anytime Fitness, which is inside the centre on level three near Town Square.
The gym will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week and have two fitness studios, a cycle studio, a creche and a sauna.
Pre-sale memberships for the gym will go on sale on September 9.
