Jamieson said the show would give fans an insight into how he crafted some of the band’s biggest hits.
“I guess I’m the principal songwriter in the band, so I’ll kind of maybe perform them how they were performed originally,” he said.
“It’ll just be me and a guitar and harmonica and I’ll try to make myself as presentable as possible.”
Jamieson said he would play a mix of Grinspoon songs, covers and other material.
He said some of the new songs could be road-tested for the band’s next record, once they decide to get back in the bandroom.
“Joe climbed Everest or something, Pat just put in a pool at his place and he’s loving life … they’re doing normal people things, they’re all good,” he said.
“I really enjoy playing live, it’s something I get a big kick out of.
“I’m not very good at anything else, I consider myself a really good gamer but no one is going to pay me any money.”
Doors open at 4pm and tickets are on sale for $35 at manhattanhotel.com.au
