POLICE are urging motorists to avoid EastLink in Rowville, which is facing heavy traffic delays after a semi-trailer collided with a Ford Fiesta this morning.
A woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries following the peak-hour smash.
Police are urging drivers to find an alternative route, with two lanes in both directions closed after the semi-trailer collided with a Ford Fiesta near Wellington Rd about 8.40am.
Victoria Police Leading Senior Constable Lea-Taylor Bolton said both vehicles ended up in the median strip and the female driver of the Ford was taken to hospital for observation.

Leading Sen-Constable Bolton said the male truck driver was not injured and was helping police with their inquiries.
VicRoads has warned drivers two right Ringwood-bound lanes on the freeway are closed, as well as two right lanes on the Frankston-bound side are also closed while the scene is cleared.
The road authority has also alerted motorists there are delays building in both directions.
