The craic will be mighty on Main Street on Sunday as Croydon comes alive for its annual multicultural festival.
After proving a huge hit in its debut last year, organisers have added more activities and expanded the festival for 2019.
Selected restaurants on the strip will again hold special dinner events on Saturday night, including belly dancing at Littorios, a flamingo performance at Viva Mexico, and rockabilly tunes at Happy Days Donuts.

A huge chunk of the street will then be closed off for Sunday’s festival, with a main stage and a village erected to host workshops, displays and musical and dancing performances.
Among the performers is the Victoria Irish Dance Academy — especially chosen to celebrate St. Patricks Day.
Croydon Main Street Traders Association spokeswoman Marta Makkai said the festival would offer plenty of fun and free activities.
“The flavour of the street is very multicultural,” she said.
“We hope to put on a great big party and everyone can find something for themselves here, especially for families.
Sunday’s festival starts at 10am and Main St will be closed between Devon St and Hewish Rd.
