Australian rock royalty Cold Chisel will perform their only Melbourne show at Coldstream’s Rochford Wines in January.
The band — Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, Phil Small and Don Walker — announced their Blood Moon 2020 tour at a press conference at Bondi Pavilion in Sydney this afternoon.
They will play 14 outdoor shows in January and February — including an A Day On The Green date at Coldstream’s Rochford Wines on Friday, January 10.
The band’s only other Victorian shows will also be winery gigs in Rutherglen and Geelong.
The tour will be only the fifth time Cold Chisel have hit the road together since they initially called it quits with their The Last Stand tour in 1983.
“We’ve only done four tours since the early ’80s so we need to make each of them count,” Barnes said.
“We knew that if we were going to get the band back together for another full tour it would have to be something really special. We wanted great line-ups and unusual places so that people would remember these gigs for a long, long time.”
