Speed sign painted over to look like VB can in Yarra Ranges
Speed signs in the Yarra Ranges made headlines for their striking resemblance to a well-known brand of beer. But now an act of vandalism has taken one to a whole new level.

Vandals have painted the letters “VB” over a speed limit sign — which resembles the popular brand of beer — in the Yarra Ranges.
The signs were compared to cans of Victoria Bitter when they were installed earlier this year.
Now a post on the I Lived in Warburton, Victoria, Australia Facebook page, shared by Yarra Ranges Council, shows a sign in Wesburn has been painted over with the letters VB in place of the speed limit.
Lee Morris said she took the photo coming into Wesburn, near Wesburn Reserve, a couple of weeks ago.
The council shared the photo and posted: “Please don’t. VicRoads is watching.”
On the council’s post Lisa Lawther said: “It’s a bit wonky, perhaps the artist may have been partaking of said beverage in preparation for creating their masterpiece.”
Lorraine Shaw said it gave her a laugh, but she was upset the sign had been defaced after only being up a couple of weeks.

Department of Transport spokeswoman Lauren Hilbert said graffiti and vandalism was an issue across the road and public transport network and it was extremely frustrating and disappointing.
Ms Hilbert said the authority would repair the damaged sign this week, but encouraged anyone who witnessed vandalism on the road and public transport network to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
