The burger chain has become a cult favourite in the US for its ‘thickburgers’, plus the criss-cut fries, chicken tenders and ice cream shakes.

It also has a breakfast menu and salads, and anyone who dines in and buys a meal can get free drink refills.
Carl’s Jr Knox restaurant manger Tyler Kidd said the store’s arrival was exciting for Wantirna.
She said the store had recruited 80 new casual staff, mostly locals, and trainers from California were helping out in the store’s first weeks.
“Personally, walking around Knox as a consumer, there’s not much there burger wise, and I think we offer a bit more,” she said.
“We want to do things differently and stand out.”
Carl’s Jr also plans to open stores in Cranbourne and the Docklands by the end of the year.
