Amy Lee Thomas, 30, to cross examine witnesses for alleged dangerous driving
A Warburton woman accused of dangerous driving which led to the death of an elderly cyclist will cross examine witnesses from the scene of the alleged incident.

A woman whose alleged dangerous driving led to the death of a cyclist will get the chance to question witnesses, including someone who “heard a thud”.
Warburton woman Amy Lee Thomas, 30, appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday for committal mention in relation to an alleged incident where she hit an 81-year-old cyclist on September 5 on Surrey Rd, Warburton.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and attempted to treat the Mooroolbark man but he died at the scene.
Ms Thomas was charged by Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives later that day.
On Thursday the court heard the bike hit the rear of the vehicle and there were no skid marks on the road from either the car or the bike.
Magistrate Suzanne Cameron gave leave for Ms Thomas to cross examine witnesses of the scene.
The court heard one witness “heard skidding and a thud” but did not see the alleged incident.
An expert witness will also be cross examined.
Ms Thomas will return to court for a committal hearing in March.
