Extraordinary video has emerged of police arresting anti-lockdown protesters on Sunday afternoon in Roxburgh Park.
Multiple videos circulating on social media show a large group of people, most of them wearing Guy Fawkes masks, walking through Broadmeadows and Roxburgh Park streets disrupting traffic and chanting.
Another video shows a person being arrested on the ground by police officers, and another person being walked away in handcuffs.
Victoria Police confirmed they arrested three men “during a prohibited gathering in the Roxburgh Park area” on Sunday.
A 22-year-old man from Broadmeadows, an 18-year-old man from Broadmeadows and a 17-year-old man were all arrested and will be issued infringements for breaching the Chief Health Officer’s directions and traffic-related offences.
In one video a police officer tells one of the members of the group they are breaking restrictions by being in a group.
“You are in groups, who is the real criminal,” the man replies.
Police said they are continuing to investigate the gathering and are considering issuing penalty notices for anyone else who is found to be in breach of the CHO’s directions.
It comes after the Leader attended protests on Kirkham Rd and surrounding streets on Friday, and saw police question several people on the Dandenong Creek Trail, who shouted at officers when being stopped.

Police are continuing to investigate Sunday evening’s protest activity and will consider issuing penalty notices for anyone else found to be in breach of the directions issued by the Chief Health Officer.
On Friday Assistant Commissioner Luke Cornelius made a scathing rebuke of the “tin foil hat brigade” at a press conference addressing the planned anti-restrictions protest.
“They’re taking every opportunity to leverage the current situation to serve their ridiculous notions about so called sovereign citizens, about constitutional issues and about how 5G is going to kill your grandkids,” he said.
“I mean It’s just crazy, it’s batshit crazy nonsense.”
