Mr Uljans, along with brother Jake and co-owner Karl van Buuren, set out to create a destination venue people had to visit while in Melbourne.

As well as the indoor lagoon, the site also has a beer garden with retractable roof, a hidden tropical disco bar and an elevated rainforest walk.

As well as all the Moon Dog favourites, the bar will stock an Australian-only wine list and a range of cocktails.
