Less than a month before its grand opening, an ambitious new brew house in Preston featuring a waterfall and lagoon, rainforest walk and hidden disco bar is taking shape.
Moon Dog World, from the team at Moon Dog Craft Brewery, will open at 32-46 Chifley Drive in September.
The massive 725-seat venue will have a beer garden with retractable roof, a hidden tropical disco bar, and a secret barrel ageing room and events space.
The smash-hit independent brewers will reach capacity at their Abbotsford site by the end of the year and the new location will allow them to grow five times in size, over 10 million litres a year.
Moon Dog managing director Josh Uljans said they were “absolutely stoked” to be launching the new venue.
“This has been a massive project and comes off the back of years of significant growth for our business,” he said.
“Our amazing team is working incredibly hard to deliver a world-class new production brewery and a truly unique venue that we reckon is going to blow people’s minds.”
Staff will include head of hospitality Matt Kenna from Little Creatures WA, venue manager Chris Hysted-Adams from Black Pearl, and head chef Damon Phillippakos from Terminus Hotel.
The 12,000sq m site will contain the label’s new bar, brewery, and bottling and packaging operations.

The bottling centre can easily accommodate the loading of a semi-trailer inside and takes up around a fourth of the total warehouse space.
The Abbotsford bar and function space will remain while the majority of brewery operations are shifted to Preston.
