Police investigate stolen truck fire at Kinder St, Campbellfield storage depot after ram raid

An allegedly stolen truck was used to ram the gates of a storage depot in Melbourne’s north before it was set alight early Tuesday morning.

An allegedly stolen truck rammed the gates of a storage facility in Melbourne’s north before the vehicle was set on fire.

Hume detectives are investigating a fire at a storage depot in Campbellfield early Tuesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the fire at Kinder St about 4.45am where police say an Isuzu truck rammed an entrance gate before it was set alight.

Firefighters arrived a short time later where three Fire Rescue Victoria crews swiftly brought the fire under control.

Crews remained on scene for about an hour before the incident was handed over to police.

The truck was allegedly stolen from another Campbellfield property overnight.

Nothing else appeared to be damaged or stolen from the depot as of 8am Tuesday.
