Lalor shooting being investigated by police with shooter on the run

A shooter is on the run after spraying bullets into a Rosedale Dr property in Lalor late on Wednesday night.
Locals reported hearing machine gun-like fire from hundreds of metres away about 10.30pm.
Police arrived and found shots had been fired at a property just off Edgars Rd and into the fence.
They are investigating the circumstances around the shooting.
No one was injured.
Investigators are urging anyone with information to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
It comes after detectives from the Echo Taskforce released CCTV as part of their investigation into a shooting in neighbouring suburb Epping earlier this month.
Police have been told a 47-year-old man was standing in the driveway of a Young St property talking to two other men just before 7.40pm on July 1.
It’s believed shots were fired from a vehicle, believed to be a white BMW coupe, striking the man in the lower body.
And a 45-year-old Epping man was last night charged with murder after a woman was located deceased in Mill Park on Tuesday night.
The body of the woman was discovered after police conducted a welfare check at the home in Hawkes Dr just before 9.30pm.
The Epping man was interviewed and charged by Homicide Squad detectives on Wednesday evening.
