Epping Views Primary School closes after coronavirus case
Another school in Epping has closed after a positive coronavirus case. It comes as virus cases continue to rise in Whittlesea.

Epping Views Primary School is the latest school to close after a reported case of coronavirus.
In a letter shared on social media Wednesday, principal Pauline Kubat said the case had been reported to the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Health and Human Services was undertaking further investigation.
“As a precautionary measure, Epping Views Primary School will be closed for 24 hours initially or until we receive advice it can reopen,” Ms Kubat said.
“The school will be closed to all students, staff and members of the community.
“All students are asked to stay at home until further advice is provided.
“Remote learning will continue tomorrow.”
The school is listed on the Education Department’s list of closures Wednesday, although not all schools on the list are shut due to coronavirus.
Epping Secondary College has also had three students test positive for the virus and nearby Lalor Secondary College shut on Monday after one of its students tested positive for COVID-19.
Up to 60 mainly secondary schools have shut this week after positive coronavirus tests with the schools undergoing deep cleaning and contact tracing.
Australian Principals Federation president Julie Podbury said the alarming rate of school closures was producing “a new level of anxiety”.
According to Wednesday's figures from the Department of Health and Human Services, Whittlesea has 352 active virus cases, up from 334 Tuesday.
There has been 86 cases linked to Epping Gardens Aged Care and 100 cases have been linked to Bertocchi Smallgoods in Thomastown.
