Two family members working at Barkly Square Coles in Brunswick are self isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.
In an announcement made by Coles they said the team members had not been into the store since August 21.
“A small number of team members who worked in close contact have been asked to self-isolate and Coles will continue to work with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services to finalise contact tracing,” a statement read.
“As an added precaution, Coles conducted an additional deep clean of the store.
“Consistent with prior practice developed with the Victorian Department of Health, the store can continue to trade and the risk of transmission for customers and team members is very low.”
It comes after more than 45 Woolworths stores around Victoria were affected by coronavirus, with more than 50 staff from those locations forced to self isolate.
And at the end of August 25 Coles stores had been affected by positive tests, with Hallam labelled as a high risk location by the Department of Health and Human Services.
