A motorcyclist has suffered life-threatening injuries after he sped off on police before colliding with a truck at a Broadmeadows intersection.

An erratic motorbike rider is in hospital after suffering life-threatening injuries in a horror collision with a truck on Sunday night.
The Broadmeadows man, 24, was spotted by police riding the bike erratically on Camp Rd about 8pm.
They tried to pull the motorcyclist over, but decided not to give chase after he sped off.
Police believe the man allegedly travelled through a red light at the intersection of Camp Rd and Northcorp Bvd, where his bike collided with a truck, causing life-threatening injuries, a short time later.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics took the man to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses and dashcam vision anyone might have.
