An alleged sicko has been accused of sharing child abuse material online and encouraging others to masturbate to them.
Lachlan Woodruff, 23, has been charged with more than 500 charges relating to child abuse material.
Mr Woodruff, formerly of Wallan, has been accused of sharing photos on a website where he created public forums dedicated to images of specific victims.
It is alleged he interacted with other forum users, requesting image alterations, sometimes specifying a theme or setting or asking for the image to be made more sexual.
Due to the sheer volume of charges, Magistrate Rohan Lawrence refused the Herald Sun’s media application to release details as a result of the clerical work which would need to occur to ensure the protection of the alleged victims.
The Melbourne Magistrates’ Court heard the prosecution would think about how many charges would proceed going forward, telling Mr Lawrence “the further adjournment will allow our office to consider our position on that”.
Mr Lawrence told the court many of the changes had “identical conduct”.
Mr Woodruff made no application for bail and he will front court again on February 21.
