Worker injured and sent to hospital after incident at Melbourne Airport
An airport worker’s Monday morning took a turn for the worst after he suffered lower leg injuries after an incident with some machinery.

Investigations are underway after a worker was hospitalised after an incident at Melbourne Airport.
It is understood the workplace incident involved some machinery with the worker suffering lower leg injuries.
Melbourne Airport confirmed a Menzies worker had been injured while offloading freight on Monday morning.
“Safety is our top priority, and Melbourne Airport will support their investigation into the incident,” Melbourne Airport said in a statement.
WorkSafe confirmed it have been made aware of the incident.
“WorkSafe has been notified of the incident and inspectors are responding,” they said in a statement.

Ambulance Victoria confirmed it attended Melbourne Airport on Monday morning.
“Paramedics were called to an incident in Melbourne Airport at around 11.50am,” a spokesperson said
“One man with a lower body injury has been taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.”
Victoria Police did not attend the incident.
