Two people have been hospitalised after a nasty multi-car crash in Melbourne’s north.
Emergency services were called on the Hume Freeway, inbound near the intersection of Oherns Rd in Epping, about 6.40am on Thursday.
It is alleged a white Holden Colorado ute collided with the rear of a white Toyota HiLux ute, which then impacted with a second white Colorado ute.
The driver of the first Colorado ute, an 18-year-old Bundoora man, was taken to the Northern Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and the only occupant of the Toyota, a 24-year-old Craigieburn woman, received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Northern Hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the second Holden Colorado ute, a 24-year-old Craigieburn man, was assessed at the scene for minor injuries and did not require emergency treatment or transport.
“The 18-year-old Bundoora man is expected to be issued with a penalty notice for driving offences,” a Victoria police spokeswoman said.
