THE long-awaited second Aldi supermarket in Moreland will open by early 2019, according to a commercial real estate agent.
While the German chain remains tight-lipped about its plans, a real estate listing has revealed its location in Coburg North.
Morley Commercial agent Josh McMullin confirmed the supermarket would open at 1009 Sydney Rd.

ANOTHER BIG NAME COMING TO THE GLEN
Aldi has previously said it was looking forward to expanding “within this area” but would not confirm where or when it would build.
A shopfront on the Sydney Rd site has been listed for sale online by Morley, with the presence of Aldi used as a selling point, alongside artists rendering.
Fort Knox storage and room for 158 car parks will make up the rest of the site.
Mr McMullin said he was hoping the supermarket would open later this year but Aldi “have some things left to sort out” so it was likely to be early next year.
He said given the draw of the supermarket and the parking, the shopfront would suit retail or hospitality.
Aldi already has a store in Brunswick.
Earlier this year Aldi announced it was pulling out of building a store in Glenroy despite a Moreland Council land swap facilitating the build.
