Uniqlo joins H&M at The Glen shopping centre

CLOTHING giant Uniqlo is joining H&M at the new-look The Glen, as the $500m redevelopment gathers pace.

UNIQLO is opening a new Melbourne store in October — and it will be in Monash.

The global casual clothing giant is part of The Glen’s $460 million transformation, featuring alongside H&M as the shopping centre welcomes a new fashion and lifestyle precinct, along with many other new and returning international and local fashion retailers.

The 832sq m store will create more than 50 jobs in the region.

Uniqlo Australia chief operating officer Kenji Tsuji said exemplary customer service and its LifeWear proposition were key factors in the Japanese company’s success in Australia.

The Glen centre manager Richard Devlin said the shopping centre was “excited” to welcome Uniqlo as part of its redevelopment and new fashion precinct.

“Strengthening our offering of food, lifestyle and fashion with local and international retailers such as Uniqlo will provide locals with a revitalised shopping experience,” he said.

The reveal follows the launches of the centre’s new fresh food hall and casual dining.
