If you think it’s time to spice up your life with a fluffy new family member, better get yourself down to Bunnings.

Second Chance Animal Rescue will be in the Maribyrnong store on October 6 between 11am and 2pm, with a bunch of adorable little critters who are looking for their fur-ever home.

The adoption drive will also include a cake stall with lots of paws-itively sweet and delicious goodies to purchase to raise money for a new animal hospital in Craigieburn.

SCAR vet nurse and shelter volunteer Marisa Debattista said the new hospital would help address the lack of veterinary resources in the area.

“Our new animal hospital aims to provide veterinarian support to sick and injured animals whose owners may not be able to afford to pay the bills,” she said.

SCAR has partnered with Dulux to give these purr-fect cats and dogs a second chance at love and will be offering a special paint deal for future pet owners on the day.

For any purchase of an 8L container of Dulux paint at Bunnings, pet lovers will receive a Jelly Bean tin with a special miniature collectable dog figurine inside.
