Coburg North’s Blu by Australian Seafood won the judge’s award for Victorian stores at the Australian Fish and Chips Awards last month.

Sunbury’s Seafood on Evans won the people’s choice award at the ceremony and was named overall winner.
The Gaffney St eatery is filled with fresh fish each morning, thanks to owner Theodore Patsiotis’ daily trip to the fish markets.
“The passion of doing what we love gets us up in the morning,” he said.
“People come here to get a real meal and getting customers coming back each time is our real prize.”
The love of all things seafood even extends to the furniture, with the door handle at the main entrance a mould cast from a flathead bought at a fish market.
Mr Patsiotis’ father Con first purchased a fish and chip shop on Sydney Rd, Brunswick, in 1972 before introducing his son into the family business.
“My dream was to build something like this so people can come and eat good food,” he said.
The most popular meal at the store is the Blu Combo, a choice of up to 15 different fish with a salad and either chips or rice, while Mr Patsiotis also recommended his lobster burger.
The store is open from 8.30am every day.
