Summer has officially arrived for cocktail fans with the launch of a new Aperol flavoured gelato.
Zero Gradi, a gelato shop next to wood fire pizza restaurant 400 Gradi, has leaned into its Italian heritage and will tomorrow launch Aperol Zero, a new flavour based on the Aperol Spritz summer cocktail.

Aperol hails back to 1919, with the cocktail a mix of the orange spriti, prosecco, soda water and orange slices. The gelato version will contain a tiny portion of alcohol — approximately 0.02 per cent per serve.
Restaurant founder Johnny Di Francesco said the flavour was one of many new ones under development in the store.
“Since opening Zero Gradi, we’ve been testing new recipes that combine traditional flavours with a modern twist,” he said.
“Prepare your tastebuds because we’re just getting started.”
The flavour will be available until the end of summer at the store at 93 Lygon St.
