PEOPLE wanting to get in on a Grand Sale can now get their hands on Franco Cozzo’s Footscray furniture showroom for free after a Reddit user created a replica of the iconic location for mega-popular PC game, Cities: Skylines.

The detailed recreation of the Footscray location will now be a permanent part of the city building game used by millions each month.

The creator, who goes by the Reddit username trist14222, said they decided to recreate the replica after hearing news Melbourne’s most well-known furniture seller was selling out of Footscray.

“I thought I’d make it timeless for your cims to get all their tacky 1980s Italian furniture in whatever city they live in,” the user wrote.

“It’s probably the most Australian asset I could ever make.”

The detailed replica or “asset” is almost like the real thing as it includes the famous “Franco Cozzo” banner emblazoned across the front while Cozzo’s range of “quality” Italian furniture can be seen on display through the windows.

The rear of the replica building is also finely detailed with graffiti.

Social media users have described the replica as “amazing” and “as Melbourne as you can get”.

Cozzo shot to fame in the eighties when his tacky late-night commercials made the phrases “Grand Sale” and “From Brunswick to Footscray” a permanent part of Melbourne folklore.

Last month, Leader News reported Cozzo had sold his Hopkins St site for $6 million.
