Woman trapped in car after crash on Eleventh St, Mildura

An elderly woman has been trapped in her car after crashing near Eleventh Street, requiring the SES to free her from the wreckage in the latest incident on Mildura roads.

A 75-year-old woman had to be freed from the wreckage of her car by the SES after colliding with a Holden Ute in Mildura.

The collision took place near Eleventh St and Riverside Ave, and near the Old Aerodrome Sporting Complex.

Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria and VICSES all attended the scene of the crash.

VICSES arrived at 11.28am and successfully removed the woman from her car less than 20 minutes later at 11.46am.

Ambulance Victoria said, “Paramedics were called to an incident in Mildura about 11.15am.

“A woman believed to be in her 70s was transported by road to Mildura Base Hospital in a stable condition with a lower body injury.”

Victoria Police said, “It is believed a man driving a Holden utility was travelling along Eleventh Street when he collided with a Mazda hatchback at the intersection of Riverside Ave, about 11am.”

They went on to confirm the man driving the ute, a 57-year-old from Mildura, stopped at the scene and suffered no injuries.

It follows a horror end to 2023 in Mildura following several accidents on local roads, including one where a person was killed at a dangerous intersection.
