It’s provided the scenic backdrop for hundreds of weddings of loved-up Mildura couples — and a few interstaters — and now it’s in search of new owners.

A popular Mildura wedding venue where hundreds of loved-up locals have tied the knot is on the market.

Situated in the riverside suburb of Nichols Point, the Willow & Ivie is a multi-function venue perfect for corporate functions and extravagant private functions.

The 2.4ha freehold contains two modern venue spaces the Willow and the Ivie — with an asking price in the $5m range.

The Willow is the more extensive of the two spaces, perfect for anywhere from 80 to 300 guests, and has been lovingly maintained and upgraded by Noreen Baynes and her family

The smaller space, The Ivie, can accommodate between 30 and 100 guests.

The property also hosts and an impressive kitchen space for all on-site catering needs, a picturesque ornamental lake, and a 220-person chapel perfect for weddings.

According to real estate agent Ben Ridley, the family are selling so that the Mum and Dad, who started the venue, can retire.

“It was some thing for them to do as a family, they all run different businesses around town and this was something they wanted to do as a family venture,” he said.

“But it’s getting to that stage where the other businesses are really starting to come alive, and the parents of the family are looking to retire.”

Mr Ridley said Willow & Ivie started out originally as just a hobby for the family but had quickly grown

“Over the years, they’ve added a chapel and extra dining spaces, to really turn it into an all-purpose centre.”

“They are having things like large conventions coming through region, weddings, funerals, school graduations.’
