A Mildura woman and her co-accused, subjected their victim to a brutal 11 hour ordeal that the victim only escaped after giving in to their bizarre requests, a court was told.

Rianna Bashford, 24, pleaded guilty on Thursday to charges including assault, theft, and failing to comply with direction without a reasonable excuse.

The court heard that Bashford lured the victim to a property she shared with her fellow offender Daniel Carter under false pretences.

After some convincing, the victim arrived at the property just after midnight on February 21.

When the victim arrived, he was almost immediately set upon by Bashford and Carter and subjected to an assault that lasted nearly 11 hours.

The victim was tied up with duct tape at one point and made a during an attempt at an escape and tried to alert neighbours to what was happening by yelling out of the bathroom window at another stage.

He was let go by Bashford and Carter around 11.30am on the same day after relenting to their bizarre request that he wash his arms, along with handing over his clothes.

It was claimed in court Bashford used her phone to film some of the attack, and would not unlock the phone for police when she was first arrested on March 5.

Carter was sentenced to 20 months behind bars, with a non-parole period of 10 months in May of this year.

It was conceded in court that Bashford’s role was minor compared to the role of Carter.

Bashford was also praised for her compliance with the Court Integrated Services Program (CISP).

Magistrate Patrick Southey sentenced Bashford to a 12-month community corrections order with a conviction.
