A Mildura courtroom has been thrown into chaos after an angry parent of an allegedly abused child expressed her outrage at a magistrates’ decision.

Jikka Johnson, 20, fronted the Mildura Magistrates’ Court on October 10 asking for a variation to his bail conditions,

The court was forced to be stood down after a woman identified as the mother of one of the alleged victims had a significant verbal outburst.

The woman told the court she wanted “justice for her children”, before hurling abuse at the screen Mr Johnson was appearing from.

“You’re safer in that room than you are out here you f--king criminal,” she said.

Also targeting Magistrate Michael Coghlan, she expressed anger that Mr Johnson had been released on bail.

“Last time we were here you gave him bail, what about the children out there?” she said.

The barrage of abuse continued as Mr Coghlan attempted to regain control of the courtroom, before security stepped in.

Court security attempted to remove the woman from the courtroom twice before the matter was stood down temporarily.

When the matter returned, the court heard Mr Johnson wanted to change the address he was bailed to due to intervention order conditions and alleged social media threats.

Mr Johnson’s lawyer Hugh Middleton said the original address was located too closely to an alleged victim.

“One of the complainants lives in the same small town that was originally proposed,” he said.

“There have also been threats on social media of retribution if he stays there.”

Mr Coghlan approved the address variation, ordering Mr Johnson to be bailed to a new address in regional NSW.

His bail conditions include a 9pm to 6am curfew, to comply with all existing intervention orders, to reside at the newly decided address with his father and to not travel to Queensland or South Australia.

Mr Johnson will return to Mildura Magistrates’ Court on October 25.
