Four people have been arrested after a series of burglaries at seasonal workers’ homes in Mildura.

Police allege the burglaries occurred in Mildura, Irymple and Red Cliffs between January 4 and Febrary 9.

After executing five search warrants, Mildura detectives arrested two men and two women, and seized jewellery, laptops, i-pads, gaming consoles and power tools.

A 20-year-old Mildura woman and a 28-year-old Redcliffs man were both charged with four counts of burglary, four counts of theft from motor vehicle and handle stolen goods.

The Mildura woman appeared before the Mildura Magistrates’ Court and the Redcliffs man was bailed to appear at court next month.

A 25-year-old Redcliffs man was released without charge, while a 54-year-old Mildura woman is currently in custody.

It comes as Mildura Crime Investigation Unit detectives look for information after a series of aggravated burglaries on Thursday.

There is no suggestion the two series of burglaries are linked.

The first burglary on Thursday took place about 3am on Thirteenth St, where the man broke into a home where the victim was sleeping.

Nothing was stolen.

The alleged offender then took car keys from a San Mateo Ave home about 3.45am.

Later he returned and stole a work van from the driveway.

At a third home on Avocado St, the man stole jewellery, a handbag, house keys and car keys about 5.20am while the resident was sleeping.

However, the victim awoke and confronted the man, causing him to flee the scene.
