Kallan Newton Swain, 15, was one of two people who died when their car rolled multiple times on the Silver City Highway at Dareton on Thursday, April 14.
Kallan’s older cousin Shannyce, who lives in Darwin where Kallan is from, said he was “daring and adventurous like most young men”.
“His family and friends in Darwin will miss the cheeky smiles and adventurous young man that he was,” she said.
Family friend, Sasha Durgutovski, said on GoFundMe Kallan had a whole “life ahead of him” and he would be “extremely missed by everyone”.
“Kallan was a fun, loving young man,” she said.
“He loved everything outdoors — fishing, sports — he was always looking for the next adventure.
“Kallan absolutely adored his family and his friends more than anything, and would do anything in his power to make them happy.”
Kallan is survived by his nine siblings, mother, Revelyn Newton, and father, Nicholas Swain.
Police say another motorist saw the sedan had crashed off the highway, about 13km south east of Dareton, around 3.15am on Thursday.
Victoria Police were first on the scene and told NSW Police two bodies had been found near the vehicle.
