A Mildura man has allegedly made threats to kill his ex-partner after their relationship broke down.

A 37-year-old Mildura man allegedly threatened to kill his ex-partner and anyone else in the house following their break-up during a drug-fuelled tirade.

A 37-year-old Mildura man has been denied bail over allegdd offending.

An unemployed Mildura man allegedly threatened to kill his ex-partner and anyone else in the house after the breakdown of their relationship due to his drug issues.

The 37-year-old fronted Mildura Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday from remand to appeal for bail, having spent five days in custody already.

The court heard in the early hours of April 24 the man allegedly arrived at the alleged victim’s residence both drug affected and acting erratically. It is alleged he then jumped the fence and tried to enter the house from the back door.

On another occasion, the man also allegedly sent a video to the woman of him having sex with another woman and got upset when she bluntly replied telling him not to contact her anymore.

On a third occasion, the alleged victim allegedly saw the man sitting in his vehicle outside of her residence waving a silver object in what she took as an attempt to intimidate her.

The court heard the man allegedly sat in his car out front of the alleged victim’s house in an alleged attempt to intimidate the woman

When asked the man about the alleged threats to kill, police said he simply stated, “I don’t know”.

In a strange turn of events, the victim showed up in court on Tuesday to support the alleged offender.

Magistrate Patrick Southey was not moved by the apparent show of solidarity and refused the man bail.

When Mr Southey’s ruling was read out, the man jumped to his feet and insinuated that he had no drug problem and it was all fabricated by police.

His next court appearance is set for May 29.
