A Red Cliffs teen who was accused of a raft of child sex offences has fronted court and entered a plea for his sick offending.

A Red Cliffs teen has pleaded guilty to child sex charges at his committal hearing in Mildura Magistrate Court on Wednesday.

Laurie Oliver, 18, stood before court and reluctantly entered his plea to two charges of sexually penetrating a child under the age of 16.

“Do I have to say it,” he questioned the magistrate when asked to enter his plea, before adding a sombre, “guilty.”

Oliver’s plea comes after four adjournments in the lead up to Wednesday’s court appearance.

On September 22 last year, Oliver had sex with a child under the age of 16.

Four other charges were dropped as part of the plea deal.

Oliver’s case will now head to the County Court for a plea hearing.

Oliver had his bail renewed until his County Court appearance set for August 26.
