A male driver has been arrested after he allegedly crashed his car into a house and fled the scene in Victoria’s southwest.

A driver who allegedly fled the scene on foot after crashing his car into a home in Victoria’s southwest has been arrested.
It’s believed the driver, an 18-year-old male from Warrnambool, was allegedly travelling along McPherson Cr in Warrnambool when he crashed into the front of the house at 6.30pm on Sunday night.
Although no was injured, the house sustained significant damages.
A police spokesperson said the male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle fled the scene on foot.
“He was arrested a short time later on Raglan Pde and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” the spokesperson said.
Warrnambool highway patrol officers are investigating the incident and the driver is assisting police with their inquiries.
