Dashcam footage shows driver speeding down Latrobe Rd in Morwell
Dashcam footage has captured a P-plater speeding down a Morwell street while being chased by a police van with sirens blaring.

A P-plater has been captured on dashcam footage flying down a regional street with a police ban in hot pursuit.
John Maher, who was on his was to work on Princes Drive in Morwell just before 8am on November 23, shared footage of a driver speeding past him followed by a police car with sirens blaring on a Gippsland community Facebook page.
“Well he drove it like he stole it — this idiot doing a runner from VicPol,” Mr Maher said in the post.
“Looks like he may have got away as VicPol got caught behind cars as he did a runner down Latrobe Rd.”
In the footage, Mr Maher had to shift his vehicle slightly to the right to allow police to pass.
Mr Maher said the pursuit was on Princess Drive where it merged into a single lane.
He said the driver continued down Princes Drive and turned right onto Latrobe Rd.
“VicPol got caught up at the roundabout as the vehicle sped off down Latrobe Rd,” Mr Maher said.
He said that stretch of Princess Drive had a speed limit was 50km/h.
