University Blues have locked in a spot in the premier division next season after overcoming its premiership points evaporation halfway through the season.

The only thing that would knock the Blues out now is if they were to lose to Old Xaverians by a big margin and Old Trinity were to thump Collegians and jump over the Blues on percentage.

In the last round, the Blues will face Old Xaverians who are coming off a massive win last week which secured them a ticket to the finals.

Old Xavs won by 46 points to move them from fifth to third on the ladder.

They pose a threat to any opposition as they sit as the second highest scoring team in the competition behind ladder leaders St Kevins.

St Kevins (1st place) take on Collegians (2nd place). Winner goes through to Grand Final. Loser gets a second chance and plays the winner 3rd v 4th following week.

Run home continued:

6 Old Scotch

8-9 96.24% 32 pts

R18: Caulfield Grammarians (A) W

Predicted finish: 6th with 36 points

This week’s game would be interesting. Caulfield can lose the game but they will then rely on Old Trinity losing to survive relegation. Percentage is looking after them however as it's far better than Old Trinity’s.

7 University Blues

4-4 96.24% 16 pts

R18: Old Xaverians (A) L

Predicted finish: 7th with 16 points

The Blues have pretty much locked in a spot in the top premier division next season after beating Caulfield last week. Percentage is on their side and they look set for an exciting comeback season next year.

The Blues put on a solid performance in round 16 against a hot Collegians who are on a nine-game win streak but devastatingly fell short by a point. Before that, the club controversially lost 20 premiership points for being over the player points limit which put them in a dire position although their response has been strong.

8 Caulfield Grammarians

4-13 78.56% 16 pts

R18: Old Scotch (H) L

Predicted finish: 8th with 16 points

A win takes relegation out of the equation for Caulfield but a big loss and a big win from Old Trinity who are one game behind them on the ladder could cause trouble. It is unlikely however.

VOTE on who you think will be relegated:

9 Old Trinity

3-14 57.12% 12 pts

R18: Collegians (H) L

Predicted finish: 9th with 12 points

With a low percentage, Old Trinity would need a huge win over Collegians to escape relegation.

10 St Bernards

2-15 59.32% 8 pts

R18: St Kevins OB (H) L

Predicted finish: 10th with eight points

St Bernards have picked up two wins this season featuring Caulfield in round 12 and Old Trinity in round three. They will be relegated.
