Waite has been linked with a move to Shelley Park next year after he called time on his decorated 244-game career last month.

North Heidelberg coach Jimmy House said the club would commence talks with the 35-year-old at season’s end.
“Jarrad is probably one of 12 that we have short-listed in terms of recruits,” House said.
“If he’s keen to talk, which we think he is, we’re keen to talk to him.
“We’ll worry about that in three weeks’ time when we know what 2018 looks like.”
Waite played 184 games for Carlton after being selected as a father-son pick in the 2001 draft after his dad, Vin, played in the 1970 and 1972 premierships over 152 appearances in the navy blue.

He joined North ahead of the 2015 season as a free agent and added another 60 games to his career, finishing with 377 goals across a 17-year career.
Waite has connections to North Heidelberg through AFL games record holder Brent Harvey, who has played the previous two years at the Bulldogs.
House said some of Harvey’s former teammates had indicated they wanted to line up for the Bulldogs.
“There’s a strong sort of connection there but there is a bit of interest from a few North (Melbourne) blokes wanting to play with Brent next year,” he said.
“Jarrad is probably just one of four of them but we’ll cross that bridge and see if we can accommodate some of them, if not all of them, and what that looks like.
“We’ve reached out to him and he has reached out vice versa and what will be, will be.”
North Heidelberg won its first Division 1 final in a decade on Saturday to be just one win away from a grand final berth.
The Bulldogs are looking to become the first Northern Football League club to win the top-tier flag a year after winning the Division 2 premiership.
They will tackle Macleod at Preston City Oval on Saturday, with the winner advancing to the decider on September 22.
