Brendan Fevola’s highly-anticipated debut for Hastings in the Mornington Peninsula football league has been delayed.
Fev was to have played against Tyabb in the Blues’ season opener at home next week, but a television commitment in Sydney means he is unavailable.

“It’s disappointing but from the start we knew there would be games when he wasn’t available,” Hastings coach Ricky Ferraro said.
“Unfortunately it’s round one which is a big day for us.”
Hastings was hoping for a bumper crowd to see Fevola run out with the Blues against Tyabb on Sunday, April 7.
Even Tyabb coach Aaron Pacey was hoping the former Carlton star would be playing.
Now it seems the Hastings Fevoloution will begin on Saturday, April 20, when the Blues host Devon Meadows at Thomas Barclay Oval.
Fevola is yet to train with Hastings but Ferraro is unfazed.
The Blues forward line will still have a former AFL player in it, with ex-Richmond player Todd Elton tipped to make his mark in the MPNFL this season.
“I’m really confident with our team,” Ferraro said.
“All pre-season we’ve done training, match simulation and practice matches without having him (Fev), so when we do have him it will be a bonus.”
Paul Rogasch will captain Hastings, with former club juniors Terry Green and Aaron Vinson as vice-captains. Peter Magee, up from the under-19s, is a player to watch for the Blues this season.
