GARY Moorcroft clearly wasn’t content with breakfast in bed for Father’s Day.
The ex-Essendon and Melbourne small forward spent Sunday playing football alongside his son Beau in the Northern Football League for Bundoora.
At 42, Gary has lost none of his goalkicking prowess.

He kicked three majors in Bundoora’s 12.9 (81) to 4.9 (33) victory over Greensborough at Preston City Oval, celebrating a finals win with his son.
“It is good having two Moorcrofts in the one forward line,” Bundoora coach Ricky Dyson said.
“They have got a great relationship and I know all of the Bundoora people love seeing them out there together.”
Beau buzzed around the forward half and played his part in the 48-point triumph, which earned the Bulls a semi-final berth.

“It’s brilliant. We thought Beau was a lot better today, pretty solid over four quarters,” Dyson said.
“He hadn’t played senior footy for a while before last week and it took him a while to get into it.
“It was good to see him contribute today.”

Gary has played more than 150 games for Bundoora in Division 1 and has kicked 46 majors from 17 matches this year.
He was also coach of the Bulls’ inaugural women’s team this year, with his daughter Chloe featuring in Bundoora’s premiership victory last weekend.
Gary and Beau first played together in 2015, becoming the first father-son combination in the Bulls history to feature in the same game.
After that match, Gary said he got a “good buzz” from playing with his son.
Gary kicked 104 goals from 98 AFL games and is remembered for his mark of the year over Western Bulldogs great Brad Johnson in 2001.
